Career & Technical Education at Temple ISD
Career and Technical Education, otherwise known as CTE, redefines traditional learning. With an emphasis on real-world, real-life skills, CTE connects learning to career readiness and workforce knowledge and skills. It is rigorous. It is relevant. And, it is innovative.
At Temple ISD, we refer to our CTE program as the Wildcat Workforce program. Why? Because we are preparing our Temple Wildcats for workforce.

Testimonials

The lunch provided today to the Temple Chamber Board by the THS Culinary Arts students was excellent! The service was friendly and professional, and the students were very impressive in discussing their career goals after graduation. I especially enjoyed the chocolate pie! These students and their program are an impressive representation of THS.

I watched an instant between [student] and a customer. The customer was rude and obstinate and [student] impressed me with his cool headed ability to handle the customer. He is an asset to the company!

I wanted to let you know how much Jessica and I appreciated our manicures! We felt so pretty afterwards that we had our husbands take us out to dinner tonight! Your students were so professional and did such a fantastic job that we told them we would be back in a couple weeks! Being pampered by Cosmetology was absolutely the highlight of our day!
Let Us Work for You!
Students across the ages have always asked, “When are we ever going to use this in the real world?” In the Wildcat Workforce program at Temple ISD, we show them.
With your partnership, students engage in curriculum related service learning projects to use their skills and knowledge in real-world situations thus extending learning beyond the classroom and into the community.
Service learning creates opportunities to connect academic curriculum with real-world performance application and gives students meaningful ways to implement technical knowledge while also developing employability skills such as team work, communication, and problem-solving.
