KWTX: Temple: High school students get a lesson in banking
TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) Some Temple High School students spent part of their day Tuesday at local bank.
The students are participating in the Everfi program, in which students learn about savings, banking, credit scores and the difference between home ownership and renting.
The students, who say they want to pursue careers in finance, got an insider’s view Tuesday of how banks work and what they offer.
“I liked the inside of it. So doing Everfi program really showed me what that means. That this is really an organization of numbers. It really encouraged me to keep going forward with it,” student Jenna Southerland said.
