Students across the ages have always asked, “When are we ever going to use this in the real world?” In the Wildcat Workforce CTE program at Temple ISD, we show them.
With your partnership, students engage in service learning projects, particularly curriculum related jobs, to use their skills and knowledge in real-world situations thus extending learning beyond the classroom and into the community.
Service learning creates opportunities to connect academic curriculum with real-world performance application and gives students meaningful ways to implement technical knowledge while also developing employability skills such as team work, communication, and problem-solving.
